LHS Tennis Wraps Up Season

The Liberal Tennis season came to a close Saturday in Arkansas City. No entry advanced in the tournament, but the Redskins did gain respect from eastern powerhouse teams. Buddy Buchanan led his first match 3-2 before losing to Bishop Carroll. The doubles team of Payton Grant and Mitchell Irby pushed Bishop Carroll’s number one doubles team, a 5 Seed, to a 2nd-set tiebreaker losing 7-6 (7-3) to end their season. Sergio Borjas, Ho Ho, and Carlos Hernandez battled hard but came up short. All athletes carried themselves well and were excellent ambassadors for their school.
