LHS Spikers Gain First Win in Hutchinson

After going 0-6 in Hutchinson on Saturday, Liberal’s volleyball team returned to the Salt Hawk Activity Center on Tuesday. After a setback against the host Salt Hawks, LHS beat the Campus Colts to gain their first win of the season. LHS lost to Hutchinson 13-25 and 11-25 before beating Campus 25-21 and 25-12. Jada Mickens led Liberal with nine kills while Jessica Cisneros passed at a 2.3 clip. The 1-7 Redskins compete at a triangular in Garden City Thursday against Garden and Great Bend.
