Liberal’s softball girls claimed their second WAC win of the season Tuesday evening at the Legends Park in Dodge City.  LHS won 5-1 to move to 9-9 on the season.  Liberal scored in the third and the fourth to lead 2-0 before the Demons chased across a run.  A three run LHS fifth put the Redskins ahead for good.  Liberal out-hit Dodge City 7-3 and only had one error.  DCHS had five errors.  Jenna Ormiston pitched the distance with five strikeouts and no walks.  Amya Blake was 2-4 with two runs.  Liberal won the game without an extra base hit.  Liberal is 9-9 overall and 2-8 in the WAC.  Dodge City is 8-10 and 4-6 in the WAC.  The same two teams play Thursday at 4pm for Senior Day at the National Beef Sports Complex.
