Brock Kappelmann - May 20, 2017 6:54 am

Liberal will take a sizeable group to state in Wichita next weekend.  The Liberal boys  placed fourth  and the girls sixth at the regional meet at Goddard Friday.  But most importantly, are the number of athletes finishing in the top four to make state.  The Redskins competed without the top quarter miler in the state Dusty Torres due to injury.  Markalyn Eatmon, Josh Arafol, and Austin Mullens qualify for state in four events.  Cam Slatten now has seven WAC championships, six regional championships, and five all state performances and counting.
