Liberal, KS — Liberal High School Girls Golf Team hosted their home tournament, the LHS Girls Golf Invitational Tournament, at Willow Tree Golf Course on Monday.

Three Lady Redskins recorded career best scores on Monday; Addy Lopez improved her best score by 13 strokes, Scarlett Carr bested her previous best score by six strokes, and Lindsey Morlan improved by nine strokes. “This is exactly what I was hoping for going into today’s tournament,” said Coach Bert Luallen. “With such a young, inexperienced squad, I’m simply looking for improvement each time we go out. It’s not always going to happen. But it’s what we’re striving for.”

LHS returns to action on September 30th when they travel to play in the Hoisington Invitational. It was announced last Friday that Liberal High School will host the KSHSAA 6A Regional Girls Golf Tournament on October 15th.
