After a tumultuous spring, Liberal has hired what they hope is a more permanent solution as head girls soccer coach.
Kristen Dolen, a current assistant coach for the Lady Redskin Soccer team has been appointed the Head Girls Soccer Coach position at Liberal High School.
Kristen is a Language Arts teacher at South Middle School. Kristen has served as a girl’s assistant coach the previous two years at LHS. Kristen brings a great deal of enthusiasm and excitement to the girl’s soccer program.
Luis Aguilar coached the team last year until he resigned during the season after a string of consecutive losses. Lori Navarro stepped in to coach the remainder of the season.
LHS athletic director Scott Hinkle says she is a good fit.
I am excited to have Kristen on board, and begin a new chapter in Lady Skins Soccer," Hinkle said.
"Kristen brings a lot of enthusiasm, knowledge and excitement to the girl’s soccer program. We need consistency in the girl’s soccer program, and Kristen is up to that challenge."
The Lady Redskins were 2-14-1 last season.
Hinkle quotes:
