LHS Golfers Take Third in Home WAC Tournament

The Liberal golf team finished in the middle of the WAC as it was their turn to host the WAC teams as part of the rotating WAC schedule. Garden City led the way at Willow Tree with a 309 and Hays was second with a 330. The Redskins were third with a 336 ahead of Dodge City and Great Bend. Cameron Riley was fourth with a 79 while Caleb Brond shot an 84 for eighth. Garden City wins the overall WAC championship. GCHS won the WAC with a five-tournament stroke total of 1,257, Hays was second with 1,329.

Liberal competes at regionals Monday at Auburn Hills Golf Course in Wichita with Bishop Carroll, Andover, Andover Central, Goddard, Goddard Eisenhower, and Kapaun.
