Liberal High School’s golf team showed marked improvement in Dodge City Thursday. The Redskins tackled the course at Mariah Hills Thursday better than Smoky Hills in Hays Monday. Cameron Riley led Liberal with an 83 while Garrett Poulton added an 86, Clint Peterson shot a 93, and Caleb Brond shot a 94. Liberal shot 356 as a team. Maize won first with a 305. LHS head coach Eli Svaty he saw improvement. "Our games were much stronger through the greens. Once we get our putting to match the rest of our game, we will be in great shape. Considering the cold and the wind, I am pleased with our scores."

LHS competes at Hutchinson May 1.
