LHS Girls Win Ulysses Tennis Tournament

Liberal’s girls tennis team won the Ulysses Invitational Thursday. Susan Nguyen went 3-0 in number one singles. Valerie Rito was 2-1 in number two singles and placed second. The number one doubles team of Caitlin Workman and Kathy Nguyen went 3-0 for first. Kassandra Rosales and Shelby Hays were 2-1 and placed second in number two doubles. Head coach Brett Irby says this helps his team’s confidence. “The Lady Redskins showed signs of jelling together. This will give our girls a much-needed boost of confidence as they head to Great Bend this weekend for conference play.”

This is Liberal’s first meet win of the year.
