LHS Girls Stay the Course in Kingman

STAYING THE COURSE

The Liberal High School Girls Golf team travelled to Kingman for the Kingman Invitational on Thursday. Ashlynn Wagenseller continued her strong play and improvement as she posted her best 18-hole score of the season – a 100, to finish 5th individually in the tournament. Wagenseller, the Lady Redskin’s team captain, led her team to a 4th place team finish.
Nubia Rodriguez recorded her best finish of the season with a 115 to finish 17th individually.
Recording their best 18-hole score this season, the Lady Redskins continued to improve. That streak of consecutive improvements will be tested this next Thursday as LHS travels to Buffalo Dunes in Garden City for their 4th WAC meet. This is a large and very competitive tournament with the following schools competing: Ark City, Buhler, Campus, Derby, Dodge City, Goddard Ike, Garden City, Great Bend, Hays, Liberal, Maize, Maize South, Manhattan, McPherson, Newton, Salina South, Topeka, Topeka West, Valley Center, Wellington, Winfield. Individuals from Andale and Santa Fe Trail,
