LHS Athletic Director Van Wyhe Resigns

Liberal High School athletic director Rollie Van Wyhe will not be in the AD next school year. Van Wyhe is stepping down from that position at the end of the school year. He will fill out this school year as AD. He is in his third year as athletic director at the school. The USD 480 board accepted his resignation at Monday night’s board meeting.

Before coming to Liberal, Van Wyhe was employed with USD 232 in De Soto, KS, as their district activities director. Before moving to De Soto, Rollie spent several years in Dodge City as an administrator, teacher, and coach. Van Wyhe had experience coaching football, baseball, and wrestling.
