Shamari Lewis scored 32 points and pulled down 17 rebounds as the Liberal Lady Redskins dominated Great Bend 73-44 Friday night in the Big House. It’s the most points scored by an LHS girl since Justice Norah scored 43 in 2011.
Liberal led 16-13 after one quarter and 37-24 at halftime. Lewis had 24 points in the first half. The Lady Red played better in the third quarter out scoring the Lady Panthers 24-13 to lead 61-37.
Shamari Lewis was Epic Touch Player of the Game. Several other players registered career highs as Zoey Torres scored 16 and Kylie Rhine scored 14. Liberal was 8-20 from three point range and 9-17 at the free throw line.
Great Bend is 3-4 and 0-1 in the WAC. Liberal is 4-3 and 1-1 in the WAC. It’s Liberal’s 10th straight home win over GBHS. Liberal plays at Woodward Tuesday night at 6:30 on 1270 and 92.3.
