Shamari Lewis scored 24 points and grabbed 14 rebounds as Liberal overcame a physical and turnover laden game 54-47 Tuesday night in the Big House.  Kamilah Delgado scored 11 and grabbed 16 rebounds.  LHS had won six of their last seven games.

Hooker led 10-9 after one quarter.  LHS took an 18-12 lead before foul trouble for Kylie Rhine and Shamari Lewis hindered Liberal’s efforts and Hooker and Liberal went into the half tied 22-22.  The Lady Dogs bolted ahead 30-24 in the third quarter but LHS rallied to lead 39-37 after three.  LHS led 49-41 in the fourth quarter.  Hooker trimmed the lead to 49-46 with 1:25 to play but Shamari Lewis and Kylie Rhine knocked down clutch free throws late.

Shamari Lewis was Epic Touch Player of the Game with 24 points and 14 rebounds. Rubi Hernandez led Hooker with 13 points.

LHS wins their third straight against Hooker.  Hooker is 15-5 and plays at Alva Thursday night.  Liberal is 10-5 and returns to WAC play at Great Bend Friday night at 6pm with Redskin Pre-game at 5:45 on 1270 and 92.3.
