Leilani Torres is Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week

Liberal junior wrestler Leilani Torres is the Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week.  Torres finished third at a 6A sub state at Wichita Heights Friday to qualify for state.  Torres is 10-9 on the season.  She will wrestle on Thursday at the 6A state wrestling tournament at Hartman Arena in Park City against 28-4 Miranda Ball from Shawnee Heights.  Torres defeated Dodge City’s Ashley Martinez 18-11 for third on Friday.  There will be a send off for Torres Wednesday evening at 5 at LHS.  She also is in NHS and will play softball this spring.
