Late Night Crash Claims The Life of a Liberal Man

A two vehicle accident late last night has claimed the life of a Liberal man. Dexter Owens, age 35, of Liberal lost his life last night at 10:47pm, in a two vehicle accident that occured one tenth of a mile west of the Highway 83 bypass/Tucker Road intersection. Owens who was driving a 1991 Tracker was eastbound on Tucker road when he crossed the center line hitting head on a 2008 Volvo tractor/trailer that was being driven by 23 year old Marlowe Reuther of New York. Owens vehicle came to rest in the middle of Tucker Road facing east. The semi came to rest on the westbound shoulder of the road facing west. Seatbelts were in use in the semi, but not in the Owens vehicle.
