LARC/DVS and SCCC Partner to Sponsor Campus Advocate

As part of ongoing efforts to provide real-life resources to students, Seward County Community College welcomes Chelsea Castaneda, advocate from the Liberal Area Rape Crisis/Domestic Violence Services, to campus. Castaneda will keep office hours on campus from noon to 4 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, in the Student Success Center in the Hobble Academic Building.

Students who have questions or concerns about domestic violence or sexual assault may stop by her office or call Castaneda for support.

“It’s exciting to have this resource available,” said Vice President of Student Services Celeste Donovan. “We’ve partnered with the LARC/DVS in the past, and it’s great to develop a stronger partnership.”

“Chelsea is awesome, and it will be great for us to have her on campus,” added Director of Counseling and Career Services Mariah Cline.

To contact Castaneda, call 620-417-1106 (SCCC office), 620-624-2774 (direct line), or the LARC/DVS 24-hour hotline, 620-624-8818.
