Landon Martinez is Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week

Liberal senior linebacker Landon Martinez is this week’s Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week.  Martinez had two interceptions which both went for touchdowns and recovered a North fumble at the one leading to a Redskin touchdown on the next play.  Martinez had 10 tackles including two for a loss in the 70-6 win Friday night in Wichita.  Last season, Martinez had 63 tackles including five for a loss.  Martinez is a multi-sport athlete involved in football, basketball, powerlifting, baseball, and golf.  Martinez is also a member of the National Honor Society.  Martinez and the Redskins host Wichita South Friday night at 7pm on 1270 and 92.3 FM.
