Lady Skins Stifle Lady Buffs

Liberal’s defense made life difficult on yet another opponent.  Tuesday night Liberal beat Garden City 45-21 in the Garden.  It’s Liberal’s fifth consecutive win in girls basketball against the Lady Buffaloes.  The Lady Red forced 19 turnovers in the first three quarters on the way to the win.

LHS led 14-5 after a quarter and led 28-11 at halftime.  LHS took leads of 30-11 and 40-19 in the second half.  Katie Horyna and Machia Mullens had 11 a piece and Ali Lucero had 10.  Liberal made five of their 14 three’s.

Liberal is 6-1 and 1-1 in the WAC.  Garden City is 3-5 and 0-2 in the WAC.  The Lady Redskins host Dodge City Friday night at 6 with Redskin Pre-game at 5:45 on 1270 and kscbnews.net.  The Lady Redskins will be featured during the Rowdy Crowd Show at Billy’s Ayr Lanes Thursday night at 5:30 on 1270 and kscbnews.net.
