The Liberal Lady Redskins season came to an end Wednesday in Topeka at the Class 5A State Tournament as they were defeated by rival Great Bend 42-32. The Lady Panthers jumped out to an early 15-2 lead and never trailed. Liberal was able to cut it to four late in the game but were unable to get over the top. The Lady Skins had defeated Great Bend twice before en route to winning the Western Athletic Conference with a perfect 8-0 conference record. Liberal finishes their season 21-2.
