The Seward Lady Saints and Barton Lady Cougars have split for a second straight year.  That’s after Seward’s 68-56 win over Barton Monday night in the Green House.

Seward got off to a strong start leading 10-0, 13-2, 15-4, 18-7 and 21-13 after one quarter.  Seward led 30-19 before a 35-26 lead at halftime. Barton cut the lead to six at 49-43 early in the third quarter.  Seward led by as many as 16 on the way to the 12 point win.  Zhane Thompson led SCCC with 18.  Halima Salat had 14 points and six rebounds.  Hulda Joaquim had 12 points.  Sierra Lynch had 10.

Seward is 20-8 overall and 16-6 in the KJCCC. Barton is 15-12 and 12-9.  Seward plays at Hutchinson Wednesday night at 5:30 with Saints Shoot-around at 5:15 on 107.5 and the KSCB and The Legend App.
