The Seward Lady Saints returned from the break with a win in Louisiana Friday morning.  Seward beat Odessa 85-83 in Lake Charles, Louisiana.  Seward jumped out to a 16-13 lead and led 26-24 after one quarter.  The Lady Saints led 35-26 with 3:24 remaining in the half and led 40-37 at halftime.  A Sierra Lynch lay up gave the “Gals in Green” a 46-41 lead with 3:35 to play in the third quarter.  Seward led 59-58 after three quarters.  Seward led 71-70 with 5:04 to play. Odessa’s Lady Wranglers led 78-77 with 1:57 to play.  Zhane Thompson’s clutch three pointer gave Seward an 82-80 lead with 50 seconds left.  Zhane Thompson scored 19 and was 5-11 from three point range.  Sierra Lynch and Sydney Wetlaufer scored 17 a piece.  Kynnan Shields dropped in 10.  Thompson had four steals.  Hulda Joaquim, Wetlaufer, and De’Shanti Thomas had five rebounds a piece.  Seward shot 40 percent and made 11-30 from three point range and 8-14 at the foul line.  Seward is 9-5 and Odessa is 3-10.  Seward plays South Plains Saturday at 1 in Lake Charles.
