Lady Redskins March Past Garden City

The Liberal Lady Redskins move past Garden City 56-38 Wednesday night in the Big House.  Liberal wins a first round game for the fifth straight year.

Liberal led just 22-18 at the half but turned it up in the second half.  LHS led 38-27 at the end of three.  Liberal led 52-34 with 2:40 to go.

Liberal played well defensively holding Garden City to 24 percent shooting.  LHS shot 35 percent.  LHS made just 4-21 from three point range.

Ashley Carrillo had 17 point and five rebounds.  Bree Horyna had 16 points and 13 rebounds.  Aubrey Warden scored 10 points and nine rebounds.

Liberal is 17-4 and Garden City finishes 11-6.  Liberal faces Dodge City Saturday afternoon at 3 in the Dodge City Fieldhouse with Redskin Pre-game at 2:45 on 1270 and kscbnews.net.
