The Liberal Lady Redskins won their homecoming game over the visiting Woodward Boomerettes 65-55 Friday night in the Big House. The Lady Redskins have won five of their last six games after a January 7 loss at Woodward.
Liberal led 15-9 after one quarter but Woodward led 26-22 in the second quarter and led 28-27 at the half. Liberal quickly rallied to lead in the third quarter 49-40 and 51-42 after three quarters. The Lady Redskins led by as many as 12 57-45 and won 65-55.
Liberal was 22-32 at the foul line while Woodward was 15-18. Liberal was 3-13 from three and Woodward was 6-15 from three point range.
Shamari Lewis was Epic Touch Player of the Game with 19 points and 17 rebounds. Kylie Rhine scored 15 points. Kamilah Delgado had 11 points and 12 rebounds. Maliyah Mullins scored a career high 14 points with seven rebounds.
Woodward is 8-8 and Liberal is 9-5. Liberal hosts Hooker Tuesday night at 6pm with Redskin Pre-game at 5:45 on 1270 and 92.3.
