The Liberal Lady Redskins won in blowout fashion over the visiting Dodge City Lady Demons on Senior Night Thursday night in the Big House.  LHS won 56-23 while out scoring Dodge City 34-13 in the second half.

Liberal started their four seniors Zoe Torres, Lexi Miller, Kamilah Delgado, and Hannah McCarter and jumped out to a 14-0 lead.  It was 18-8 after one quarter.  Liberal misfired from three point range in the second quarter out scoring DCHS 4-2 and leading 22-10 at the half.  But the Lady Red didn’t mess around in the second half out scoring the Lady Demons 29-9 in the third.  The fourth quarter was played with a running clock.  Liberal’s biggest lead was 34 (54-19).

Liberal forced 21 Dodge City turnovers and only turned it over seven times.  Libweral shot 44 percent and won despite going 3-17 from three.  LHS was 7-13 from the foul line.  Dodge City was 7-33 for the night for 21 percent.  The Lady Demons were 3-18 from three and 6-12 from the free throw line.

Zoey Torres was Epic Touch Player of the Game with 12 points and six steals.  Shamari Lewis had 12 points and eight rebounds.  Maliyah Mullens had 11 points and six rebounds.

Dodge City is 1-19 overall and finishes 0-8 in the WAC.  Liberal is 14-6 and finishes 6-2 in the WAC.  Liberal will host a playoff game most likely on Wednesday on 1270 and 92.3.
