Lady Red Loses Shootout to Circle

The Liberal girls soccer team lost a PK shootout to Circle Thursday afternoon in the Wichita North Cup.  The Thunderbirds led LHS 3-0 before the Lady Redskins rallied.  Kim Alarcon scored two goals and Gisselle Melendez had two assists.  Circle scored a goal into their own net.  LHS lost the shootout 3-1 after the 3-3 tie.  Ruth Nunez had Liberal’s one successful PK.  Liberal is 4-8-1 and closes out the North Cup Saturday morning in Wichita.
