(KWCH) Two suspects out of Georgia, who police say are connected to a kidnapping in Missouri, were arrested in Kansas.

Sedgwick County booking sheets Sunday morning list John Czarnecki, 53, and Christopher Smith, 47 of Georgia.

According to a Facebook post from the Cape Girardeau Police Department, the Kansas Highway Patrol and US Marshals arrested the pair Friday evening in western Kansas.

Czarnecki and Smith were both charged Friday with kidnapping and robbery — among other charges — for their involvement in kidnapping a woman from a Wal-Mart parking lot on June 15 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

The kidnapped woman was located and is safe. Police believe Czarnecki may also be connected to a homicide in Georgia.

Both suspects are currently in the Sedgwick County Jail on $1 million bonds. The names of Czarnecki and Smith were on the Sedgwick County booking sheets Sunday morning.
