Katie Horyna is Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week

Liberal junior Katie Horyna is the Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week.  Horyna won the 800 in 2:30.86 at Garden City Tuesday.  Her best time this season is 2:28 and 2:25 last season.  Horyna also placed third in the 1600 in 5:53.66.  LHS coaches have been pacing her in April but Friday in Goddard she will ramp up to four events in preparation of WAC last week and regionals in two weeks.  Horyna is an all state basketball player and former all state cross country runner.  Horyna is involved in FCA, student council, and NHS.  Horyna and the Redskins compete at Goddard on Friday.
