A new attraction at the Kansas State
Fair will offer visitors a chance to harness up and fly through the
air.
Cable and scaffolding have gone up for a 500-foot zip line
across the fairgrounds’ Lake Talbott. The ride will be in operation when the fair
begins its 10-day run on Friday.
State Fair general manager Denny Stoecklein says he’ll
definitely be among those giving the zip line a try. The attraction
is open to visitors weighing between 75 and 275 pounds. Children
under 18 will need a parent’s consent.
Fair officials say the agreement for the zip line was finalized
in late August with Adventure Experiences Inc. of Trinity, Texas.
