Seven juveniles from Tyrone were sent to Southwest Medical Center yesterday afternoon after the car the were riding in, rolled and ejected 6 of 7 occupants. The accident occurred at 3:20pm on County Road C, just west of mile marker 53 Northwest of Tyrone. A 2003 Jeep Liberty being driven by a 16 yr old female was westbound when she lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway and rolled 2.5 times. The driver was transported to SWMC in stable condition with trunk internal injuries. An 11yr old female was transported in stable condition with leg injuries. A 9yr old male was transported in stable condition with trunk internal injuries. A 6yr old female was transported to SWMC in stable condition with trunk internal injuries. A 7yr old male was admitted in critical condition with head injuries. A 13 year old female was admitted in stable condition with leg injuries. A 15 year old male was transported, but was not admitted as he was not injured. The cause of the crash was determined to be that the driver was driving too fast for the type of roadway. All passengers except the one not injured were ejected from the vehicle. They were not wearing seatbelts, but he was.
