Juarez and Hallman Win Top Awards at LHS Awards Assembly

Liberal High School athletics hosted their annual athletic awards assembly Monday night.  There were 74 Triple Threat athletes who participated in three sports.  There were 121 athletes on the All WAC Academic team with GPA’s of 3.5 or higher.  There were 54 Scholar Athletes with a GPA of 3.9 or higher by the end of the first semester of the current school year.  Here are the award winners.

Booster Club Scholarship- Rachelle Terrazas, Hallie West, Jenna Ormiston, Tommy McClure, and Hudson Brown

KSCB Scholarship- Trystian Juarez and Rylie Hallman

Daily Leader Redskin/Lady Redskin of the Year Award- Trystian Juarez and Rylie Hallman

Leader and Times Spirit Award Winner- Katie Classen

Redskin Fan of the Year- Cheryl Collins

Male and Female Sportsmanship Award- Jovanni Garcia and Elle Hatcher

Male and Female Activities Academic Award- A.B. Amador and Jenna Ormiston

Junior Female Athlete of the Year- Hailey Contreras

Junior Male Athlete of the Year- J. Brooks Kappelmann

Male Redskin of the Year- Trystian Juarez

Female Redskin of the Year- Rylie Hallman
