Joint City/ County Meeting Thursday

After an almost three year lapse the Liberal City Commission and Seward County Commissioners are scheduled to meet this Thursday evening. The meeting is set for 6:00pm at the Rock Island Depot, and as with all meetings, this meeting is open to the public. On the agenda for this joint meeting of the commissions is the Emergency plan for the city/county in the event of a disaster, NIMS – response during storms, discussion of a recreation center, Joint Economic Development Committee, the Western Avenue Project, Joint EMS/Rural Fire response agreement, and City/County beautification projects. Concerned citizens are encouraged and invited to attend this meeting.
