Southwest Medical Center welcomed Liberal’s first baby born in 2015 on January 2. Anthony Felipe Jimenez was delivered by Dr. Dennis Knudsen at 10:37 a.m. on Friday.

Anthony is the son of Jennifer and Joel Jimenez. He weighed in at 7 pounds and measured 19.75 inches in length. Jennifer described her labor as being "fairly easy" and said they’re happy to add a second son to their growing family of four.

The team at Southwest Medical Center handled more than 760 newborn deliveries in 2014, up from 710 total deliveries during 2013.
