Jada Mickens is Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week

Liberal freshman basketball player Jada Mickens is the Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week. Mickens averages 11 points and five rebounds per game. She has been Liberal’s most consistent offensive player lately scoring in double figures in five of the past six games. Mickens scored a team high 11 Tuesday in Liberal’s 57-31 loss to Garden City. Her season high was 19 at Cimarron. Mickens also was a starter on the volleyball team, will run track, and is a member of student council. Mickens and the 7-12 Lady Redskins play at Dodge City Friday night at 6 with Redskin Pre-game at 5:45 on 1270 and kscbnews.net.
