Irby and Buchanon Shine in Season Opener

The Liberal Redskins took 3rd Place at the Great Bend Invitational on
Saturday led by a 1st Place finish by #1 Doubles and a 2nd Place finish by
#2 Doubles. Sterling took team honors with 19 points followed by Garden
City with 16 points and Liberal with 15 points. Competing teams included
Great Bend, Dodge City, Garden City, Hoisington, Ellinwood, Sterling, and a
mixed team from various schools.

Individual Results:

#1 Singles-Johnny Tran went 0-4 but gained valuable experience

#2 Singles-Nano Hernandez went 1-3

#1 Doubles-Buddy Buchanan & Mitchell Irby went 4-0 earning a 1st Place medal

#2 Doubles-Sergio Borjas & Jose Ortega went 3-1 for 2nd Place
