Injury Accident Involving a UTV Sends One to the Hospital

An injury accident occurred Wednesday morning at 10:36 am 50 feet North of the Cosmetology Building on Frontage Rd.

In a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol, a Polaris UTV being driven by Tucker Smith, 26, of Kismet, was traveling North on a campus road and turned the corner to travel east. Smith turned the corner and accelerated. The occupant in the bed of the UTV, Jacob Still, 29, of Tyrone OK, lost his balance and fell out of the UTV. He was taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita with suspected serious injuries. Smith was not injured.

A second passenger in the UTV, Breckin Buttry, 20, of Liberal, was not injured
