A Hugoton man was transported to the hospital following a one-vehicle accident Wednesday evening in Morton County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, at 5:10 p.m., Steven Claggett, 24, was driving a 2000 International semitractor northbound on U.S. Highway 51 milepost 33, about six miles north of Rolla. Claggett drove off the roadway before the semitractor came to rest on its side in a ditch. He was not wearing a safety restraint, according to the KHP.

Claggett was transported to Morton County Hospital, where officials were unavailable to comment on his condition.
