On Sunday evening, at approximately 11:00 p.m., a 1996 Dodge Pickup overcorrected on FM 1319 three miles northwest of Borger killing one passenger and injuring two.
According to the report giving by Texas Department of Public Safety, Seth Searcy, 22, of Canyon was driving northbound on FM 1319 when the vehicle crossed into the left lane leading Searcy to overcorrect rolling the vehicle striking an embankment and fence.
As the vehicle rolled, all three passengers were thrown from the vehicle with none of the passengers wearing their seat belts.
Clayton Matthew Taylor, 20, of Hugoton, KS. was pronounced dead at the scene on Monday at 7:30 a.m. by Justice of the Peace Marvin Spencer.
Sara Beth Pikard, 19, of Longmont, CO. and Searcy were transported to Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo.
Both Pikard and Searcy are listed as stable condition with Pikard having a broken pelvis while Seacry suffered spinal and internal injuries.
