Hudson Brown is Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week

Liberal’s Hudson Brown is the Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week.  Brown led an LHS boys tennis team which sent four to state in 6A last month.  Brown teamed with Daniel Nguyen to go 23-13 this season in #1 doubles.  They joined Parker Brown and Emmanuel Garcia at state in Topeka May 19.  They are the first LHS state qualifiers in boys tennis since Vince and Duc Nguyen in 2011.   Brown had an eventful week after qualifying for state May 12 at Dodge City.  He played state in Topeka May 19 and represented the LHS class of 2023 at salutatorian at graduation the morning of May 20.  Brown played the lead role in Beauty and the Beast and directed Drugs are Bad in the LHS Black Box.  He also participated in football, Importance of Being Earnest, FCA, Drama Club, and NHS.  He will attend Tabor College and study theater education.
