The Hooker Bulldogs won their fifth straight against Liberal 65-32 Tuesday night at the Big House in Liberal. Four Bulldogs scored in double digits on the way to the HHS win.
Liberal played well in the first quarter and a half. The Dogs led 17-14 after one quarter. Hooker bolted ahead 25-14 before the Redskins responded to cut the lead to 27-21. Hooker finished the half on a 10-0 run to lead 37-21. It was all Hooker in the second half holding LHS to 11 points. Hooker led 50-27 after three.
Keilan Robinson led the Bulldogs with 19 points. Slade Stalder and Trace Duncan scored 14 a piece. Nate Hidalgo added 12. James Fieser was Epic Touch Player of the Game with 11. Jakyree Washington scored a career high eight in the loss.
LHS was 2-18 from three point range.
Hooker is 15-4 overall and Liberal is 3-12. Hooker plays at Alva Thursday night and Liberal plays at Great Bend Friday night at about 7:45 on 1270 and 92.3.
