On Saturday, April 12, Liberal Wrestling Club switched gears and attended a Folkstyle
Tournament in Holly, CO. They had five wrestlers in attendance.

“This tournament really had some great competition! There were wrestlers from Kansas,
Colorado and New Mexico. Our wrestlers had some tough matches but held themselves high
and battled through it,” Coach Krista Holcomb said. “There was not a separate girls division for
this tournament but that didn’t stop Alyvia. She was able to hold her own against the boys and
the girls for the day with only 1 loss in her 7 matches.”

Alyvia Holcomb double bracketed and took 1st in one bracket and 2nd in the other. She
ended her day with 2 pins and 3 tech falls.
