Highly Skilled Turpin Ready for 2024

If you like watching explosive offense with eye popping firepower, than make sure to follow the Turpin Cardinals this fall.  They are a high flying team heading into the 2024 campaign after going 9-2 in 2023.  Jhett Huffman returns at running back after rushing and receiving for over 1,000 yards last season and amassing 36 touchdowns in the process.  Carson Peters returns back at quarterback after completing 74 percent of his passes with over 2,200 passing yards and over 500 rushing yards.  Ryder Ireland looks to be a defensive play maker at defensive end.  All three were all district players and Vype Players to Watch in 2024.   This group knows about winning football games going 8-3 as sophomores in 2022 and 9-2 last year.

Justin Hannah enters his 12th season as head coach.  The Cardinals have been consistent in rugged B-1 having made the playoffs in nine of the past 10 years.  Turpin has 24 out for football with three starters back on both sides of the ball.

Some of the key Cardinals are Sr. RB/DB Jhett Huffman, Sr. QB/DB Carson Peters, Sr. SE/DE Ryder Ireland, Sr. OL/DE Jackson Lehnert, and Sr. OL/DE Logan Ebersole.  The Cardinals were featured during Sportsguys Friday morning.

Turpin will have to navigate a challenging schedule with the first three and four of the first five on the road.  The Cardinals only have one home Friday night game before November.
