At approximately 11:00pm Saturday, September the 4, the Liberal Police Department were called to the 600 block of N. Clay on the reports of a prowler. Officers responded, located the suspect, and a foot chase ensued. Officers apprehended the suspect and placed him under arrest. Former Liberal Police officer, Seward County Sherriff ??s officer and current Head of Security at Seward County Community/Area Technical School, Ray Petty was arrested for eavesdropping and obstruction of the legal process. This case is still under investigation by the Liberal Police Department.
