The Hays Indians continued their dominance against the Liberal Redskins with a 70-34 blowout win Tuesday night in the Big House.  It’s the 15th straight win for Hays over Liberal.

It was 19-8 Indians after one and 36-20 Indians at the half.  Hays out scored the Redskins 24-7 in the third to lead 60-27 after three.  The fourth quarter was played with a running clock.

Liberal was 2-14 from three point range and shot 34 percent from the field.  Hays was 6-17 from 3.  Liberal committed 22 turnovers in the loss.

Xavier Tafoya was Epic Touch Player of the Game with 13 points and five rebounds.  Adrian Moreno-Gonzalez scored nine.

Hays is 3-1 and 1-0 in the WAC as they win in Liberal for an 8th straight time.  Liberal is 1-2 and 0-1 in the WAC.  Liberal loses a 26th straight WAC game.   The Redskins play the Thursday winner of Elk City and Perryton Friday at 4:40 on 1270 and 92.3.
