Hayleen Martinez Marches to Final

Liberal’s boys and girls are wrestling at state at Hartman Arena in Park City.

Day 3 of the KSHSAA State wrestling tournament will have 4 Liberal High School student- athletes representing Liberal.

In the girls 5A/6A bracket Liberal will have junior wrestler Hayleen Martinez trying to defend her #1 State ranking, in the championship finals.

At the 100 pound division, Liberal has junior wrestler Keirsie Carlile attempting to make the 3rd and 4th place consolation match.

At 105 liberal is represented by a junior, Isabella Gutierrez and she also is attempting to make the consolation 3 and fourth place round.

In the boys 6A KSHSAA wrestling tournament, Liberal will be represented by, again a junior, Ayden Juarez.

Ayden Juarez will be competing to make it to the 3rd and 4th place placing round.

Liberal did not bring a large amount of wrestlers to the big tournament, but the ones’ who qualified have definitely shined out. A great big congratulations to Liberals two wrestling teams.

Hayleen Martinez has pinned all of her opponents on her way into the KSHAA 5A/6A 190 pound Wrestling State finals at Hartman Arena in Park City. The championship finals will be Saturday.
