Guymon Water Well Issues Continue

The water well situation in Guymon was re-evaluated on June 15th and at this time the water restrictions which were started on June 9th will continue as publicized. No outdoor washing of vehicles and no watering of lawns. This restriction will be re-evaluated on Thursday, June 18th. The water distribution system is currently work at 84% of maximum capacity.

The motor for Water Well #21 was delivered on Friday, June 12th but will not be installed until Wednesday, June 17th. As reported on June 12th this motor is operational but failing and Well #21 is one of the City of Guymon’s highest producing wells. Once the motor has been installed and tested the operational ability of this well will be evaluated. The patch which is required for Well #28 will be delivered on Wednesday, June 17th. Once this well has been repaired, it will need to be tested. The results of this test will not be available until next week at the earliest.
