Guymon Girls Pull Away in Second Half

After trailing just 20-18 at the half, Guymon pulled away in the second half to lead by as 14 and win 53-46 over visiting Liberal in Guymon Tuesday night. Guymon sweeps the series with Liberal for the second consecutive season.

The Lady Tigers led 12-7 after one and 20-18 at the half after LHS briefly led 18-16. The Lady Redskins took a 25-24 lead early in the third quarter. But the Lady Tigers led 32-25 after three and took their biggest lead 46-32. LHS missed their first 12 three pointers and finished 3-17 from distance. Guymon had a huge advantage at the foul line going 24-30 while LHS was 7-13.

Brooke Arledge scored 16 and Sydney Hein added 15. Carolina Limon scored her career high of 13. Jada Mickens scored 12 and Whitney Hay had 10. Liberal is 8-7 and Guymon is 12-7. LHS hosts Hays for homecoming Friday night at 6 with Redskin Pre-game at 5:45 on 1270 and kscbnews.net.
