A 56-year-old man was arrested for posing as a police officer in Gruver.
Larry Haag, 56, was arrested on the charge of Impersonating a Public Servant after Gruver Police said it received a report that a citizen had been stopped by someone possibly posing as a police officer.
The citizen told police that they had been stopped on Oct. 23 by a man driving a black Tahoe with red and blue lights on the dash. A description of the driver was given and a photo lineup positively identified Haag.
With the assistance of the Texas Rangers, the Gruver Police Department obtained a warrant for Haag. He was arrested in Hartley County and was later transported to the Dallam/Hartley County Jail.
