The Haysville Heat continued their winning ways Saturday with a 6-3 victory over the Liberal Bee Jays.

The Bee Jays led 3-0 in the sixth inning after Kyle Borden of Rhode Island hit a solo home run in the first inning and Joe Vaskas of Concordia had an RBI double in the sixth along with Mark Gomez of Lubbock Christian hitting a sacrifice fly.

The Heat took the lead for the first time in the game though in the bottom of the sixth when Colt Loehrs of Coffeyville hit a grand slam. The Heat never looked back adding two runs in the victory.

Haysville improves to 8-3 overall and 6-2 in the Jayhawk League. Liberal drops to 7-3 overall and 3-3 in the league.

Both teams will face off in the final game of the series on Sunday at 7 p.m. The game will air on 1270 AM and right here on kscbnews.net.
