On Saturday, April 19, Liberal Wrestling Club took four wrestlers to Borger, TX for a
Freestyle and Greco Tournament. This tournament was held as the Victoria Memorial Wrestling
Tournament in memory of a female wrestler that was lost too soon.

Adriel (AC) Gomez had a great day of wrestling in both Freestyle and Greco, taking first
in both. For the Greco division, Gomez walked away with 3 pins and 1 tech fall. Gomez had two
tech falls in the Freestyle division. “I am very proud of AC. He saw what he wanted and went to
battle in Borger!” Coach Krista Holcomb said.

Liberal Wrestling Club will send AC to Wichita to compete this weekend at the Gold
Rush Freestyle and Greco Tournament. More members will be heading to State Freestyle and
Greco May 3-4 in Park City, KS.
