Garden City Wins WAC Girls Soccer Title with Win in Liberal

With a healthy south wind at their backs in the first half, the Liberal girls soccer team was thinking upset. Liberal’s Junior Female Athlete of the Year Carolina Limon scored in the first half at the 20 minute mark to give Liberal an early 1-0 lead. But Garden City used the wind in the second half to score three unanswered goals. Garden City wins the WAC in girls soccer at 7-1 after a loss to Dodge City Monday and they are 12-4 overall. Liberal has lost three straight and falls to 5-10 and 2-5 in the WAC. Liberal hosts Dodge City Thursday at 5:30 for their last regular season game.
